SelfieLog Terms of Use

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) apply to the mobile application SelfieLog (hereinafter referred to as the “Application”), developed and published by LCD Media Games (the “Service Provider”). The Application is provided as a Free service and is intended for use “AS IS.”

By downloading, accessing, or using the Application, you agree to be bound by these Terms. Please read them carefully.

1. Intellectual Property and Usage Restrictions

All trademarks, copyrights, database rights, and other intellectual property rights associated with the Application and its content remain the exclusive property of the Service Provider.

You are not permitted to:

  • Copy, reproduce, modify, translate, reverse engineer, or decompile any part of the Application.
  • Extract or reuse any source code or content.
  • Create derivative works based on the Application.
  • Use the Application’s trademarks or branding without written permission.

2. Modifications and Charges

The Service Provider reserves the right to:

  • Modify or update the Application’s features, design, or content at any time.
  • Introduce charges for new or existing services or features in future updates (with prior notice within the Application).

You will be clearly informed in advance if any features become paid.

3. Local Data Storage & User Responsibility

SelfieLog is a locally hosted application. This means:

  • No Cloud Backup: Your photos, logs, and routine data are stored only on your device. The Service Provider does not have a copy of your data.
  • Data Loss: If you uninstall the Application, lose your device, or clear the Application’s data, your logs and photos will be permanently deleted and cannot be recovered by the Service Provider.
  • Backup: You are solely responsible for backing up your device and your photos to prevent data loss.

4. User Content

The Application allows you to capture and store images (“User Content”).

  • Ownership: You retain full ownership of any photos you take or import into the Application.
  • Privacy: Since the Application operates offline, your User Content stays on your device and is not uploaded to our servers.
  • Liability: The Service Provider disclaims all liability related to the loss, corruption, or misuse of your User Content caused by device failure or user error.

5. Medical Disclaimer (Crucial)

The Application is NOT a medical device.

  • The skin analysis features (e.g., redness, shine scores), charts, and routine tracking are provided for informational and aesthetic tracking purposes only.
  • The Application does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.
  • You should not rely on this Application as a substitute for professional medical advice. Always consult with a qualified dermatologist or healthcare professional for any skin conditions or concerns.

6. Third-Party Services & Technologies

The Application may utilize on-device technologies provided by the operating system (e.g., Apple Vision Framework) to function. The Application is currently designed to operate without third-party ad networks or external tracking analytics.

However, if future updates integrate third-party services, their use will be subject to their respective terms and policies.

7. Device Responsibility

You are solely responsible for:

  • Keeping your device secure and access to the Application protected.
  • Ensuring your device has sufficient storage space for your photo logs.
  • Not jailbreaking or rooting your device, which may compromise security and break Application functionality.

8. Updates and Termination

The Application may be updated from time to time to improve functionality or compatibility. You agree to:

  • Accept all updates when offered.
  • Understand that failure to update may result in loss of access or functionality.

The Service Provider may also stop providing the Application at any time without prior notice. Upon termination, all rights granted to you will cease, and you must stop using the Application.

9. Limitation of Liability

The Application is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service Provider is not liable for:

  • Data Loss: Any loss of photos or logs resulting from app deletion, device failure, or update errors.
  • Accuracy: Any errors or inaccuracies in the skin analysis scores or progress charts.
  • Indirect Damages: Any indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of or reliance on the Application.

10. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of Turkey. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall fall under the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Istanbul, Turkey.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms periodically. Updates will be posted on this page and reflected with a revised “Last Updated” date. Your continued use of the Application constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
