This Privacy Policy applies to the SelfieLog app (the “Application”) created by LCD Media Games.

1. Privacy-First Policy (Photos & Face Data Stay on Device)

SelfieLog is designed to be privacy-first and primarily offline.

  • We do not collect, store, or upload your selfies/photos, face/skin analysis results, skincare metrics, routines, or reports to our servers. This data stays locally on your device unless you explicitly export/share it.
  • We do not use third-party analytics or tracking tools (no Google Analytics, no Facebook Pixel).
  • We do not display third-party advertisements.
  • We do not sell your data.

Important note about subscriptions:
If you purchase a subscription, subscription functionality is managed through Apple’s App Store and RevenueCat (see Section 4). RevenueCat may process purchase-related information (e.g., subscription status/receipt validation). RevenueCat does not receive your selfies/photos or face analysis metrics.

2. How We Handle Your Data

A. Camera & Photo Library

The Application requires access to your device’s camera to capture daily logs and may access your photo library to save them (if you choose to).

  • Storage: All photos captured within the app are stored locally on your device in the Application’s sandbox folder (/Documents/selfielog).
  • Control: You have full control over these images. If you delete the app, your local data is deleted with it (unless you explicitly exported them to your Camera Roll or shared them elsewhere).

B. Face Data & Skin Analysis

Face data is sensitive information. SelfieLog handles face-related processing on-device only.

  • What face data is processed?
    The Application may process face-related information from your selfies to calculate skincare tracking metrics such as redness or shine (and similar visual indicators).
  • Processing:
    The Application uses on-device technology (Apple Vision Framework) to calculate these metrics. All image processing happens locally on your phone’s processor. Your photos are never uploaded to a cloud server for analysis.
  • Usage:
    Face-related analysis is used solely to display your progress charts, trends, and skincare tracking insights within the app.
  • No identification:
    The Application does not perform face recognition, identity matching, or create biometric templates for identifying who you are.

3. Permissions

To function properly, the Application may request the following permissions:

  • Camera: To take photos for your log.
  • Photo Library: To save your photos to your device’s gallery (optional).
  • Notifications: To send you local daily reminders (Morning/Evening routines). These notifications are scheduled locally on your device and are not sent from a remote server.

4. Third-Party Services

A. Apple (App Store / StoreKit)

If you purchase a subscription, payments are processed by Apple through the App Store.

B. RevenueCat (Subscriptions & Entitlements)

We use RevenueCat to manage in-app subscriptions and entitlements.

  • RevenueCat may process purchase/receipt information, subscription status, and an app user identifier needed to provide subscription functionality.
  • RevenueCat does not receive or process your selfies/photos or face/skin analysis metrics.
  • We do not use RevenueCat for analytics/tracking of your photo content or face data.

No Ad Networks: You will not see ads.
No Analytics SDKs: We do not track which screens you visit or how long you use the app.

5. Medical Disclaimer

SelfieLog is not a medical device. The metrics (e.g., Redness, Shine, Lesions), charts, and routine tracking features are for informational and aesthetic tracking purposes only. They do not constitute medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Always consult with a qualified dermatologist for skin conditions.

6. Data Retention & Deletion

Since we do not host your selfies/photos/face analysis data on any server, we cannot “delete” your account because we do not have it.

  • Deletion: You can delete all your data at any time by uninstalling the Application or using the “Delete ALL local data” button in the Advanced Settings menu within the app.
  • Retention: Your selfies and face/skin analysis metrics remain on your device until you delete them.
    Subscription-related records are handled by Apple and RevenueCat according to their respective policies.

7. Children’s Privacy

The Application does not knowingly collect or solicit personal information from children. Since the app functions primarily offline, no selfie/face data is transmitted to us regarding the age of the user.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. Since we do not collect your email, we advise you to review this page periodically for any changes.
