This Privacy Policy applies to the SnapSpace app (the “Application”) for mobile devices, created by LCD Media Games(the “Service Provider”) as a Free service. The Application is provided “AS IS” and is intended for use as such.

1. Information Collection and Use

The Application is designed with privacy as a priority. Unlike many other apps, SnapSpace performs photo analysis locally on your device.

a. Photo Library Access & Processing To function, the Application requires access to your device’s photo library.

  • No Cloud Uploads: Your photos and videos are analyzed directly on your device using Apple’s native frameworks. We do not upload, store, or transmit your photos to any external server.
  • Data Isolation: All photo data remains in your personal control. We do not have access to view your photos.

b. Technical & Usage Data While we do not collect your photos, we may collect anonymous technical data to improve app stability and performance. This includes:

  • Device model and operating system version
  • Language and region settings
  • Usage statistics (e.g., screens visited, session duration)
  • Crash reports and diagnostic logs

2. Third-Party Services

The Application integrates third-party services for analytics, performance tracking, subscription management, and advertising. These services may collect anonymized or pseudonymous data (such as device IDs and Ad IDs) to operate effectively.

We may share usage-based or anonymized data with the following services:

  • Google Analytics for Firebase: For analyzing user behavior and app performance.
  • Firebase Crashlytics: For detecting and fixing app crashes.
  • RevenueCat: For managing in-app subscriptions and purchase validation.
  • Google Ads (AdMob): For displaying and personalizing advertisements.
  • Meta Ads (Facebook & Instagram): For analytics and future marketing efforts.

Please note that each of these third-party services has its own privacy policy, which governs how they handle data independently of the Application.

Since we do not collect your personal photos, our data usage is limited to technical purposes:

  • Providing Core Features: Utilizing your device’s processor to identify duplicate or similar photos locally.
  • Managing Subscriptions: Validating your Premium status via RevenueCat.
  • Improving Stability: Using crash logs to fix bugs.
  • Advertising: Delivering relevant ads (if using the free version).

4. Opt-Out Rights

You can stop all collection of information by the Application easily by uninstalling the Application. You may also use standard opt-out processes:

  • Personalized Ads: You can opt-out of personalized advertising by adjusting your device settings (Settings > Privacy > Tracking).
  • Analytics: You may contact us to request information about opting out of specific analytics tracking, though this is integral to the app’s maintenance.

5. Data Retention

  • Photos: Since we never upload your photos, we do not retain them. They exist only on your device until you decide to delete them via the App.
  • Analytics Data: Anonymized usage data is retained by third-party services (like Firebase) according to their own retention policies, typically to analyze long-term trends.

6. Children’s Privacy

This Application is not intended for children under the age of 13. The Service Provider does not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us, and we will take steps to delete such information.

7. Data Security

We prioritize your security by minimizing data collection.

  • Local Processing: The safest way to protect your photos is not to move them. SnapSpace processes everything on your phone.
  • Encryption: Any communication with third-party services (e.g., validating a subscription) occurs over secure, encrypted connections (HTTPS).

8. Your Rights (GDPR / CCPA)

If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA) or California, you have specific rights regarding your data. Since SnapSpace does not store your personal content (photos) on our servers, we hold very little personal data about you. However, you maintain the right to:

  • Request access to any technical data we may hold (e.g., linked to an advertising ID).
  • Request deletion of such data.
  • Object to data processing.
